Kolvitsa river is located in the south of the kola peninsula in murmansk oblast, russia. It is 9 km in length and it's basin size is 1310 km². The kolvitsa originates from the lake kolvitskoye and flows into the kolvitskaya bay, kandalaksha gulf, white sea near the village of kolvitsa. The river is suitable for whitewater canoeing. Recorded on zoom h6.

This is a recording of the audio transmission of the digital mode jt-65 through a yaesu ft-950 amateur radio on the 20m band. Information on jt-65 can be found at http://physics. Princeton. Edu/pulsar/k1jt/wsjtx-doc/wsjtx-main. Html. The recording was made by a zoom h6 with one input connected to the radio's monitoring output. Recording was made at -12db. The file was trimmed with audacity and exported as a wav 96khz file.

Large river rapids running strongly after winter rain. Recorded approximately fifty feet above water level. The river flows and turns through a narrow, high, partly exposed bedrock canyon which likely amplifies the sound of the rapids. The first nine seconds are unedited. The last two seconds have a fade out applied. In summer you can walk where the centre channel is in winter, so this is a lot of water moving swiftly down the cowichan river to the salish sea. I opened the woodstove door while recording with a zoom h1 n. So the first thing you hear is the door opening, and then the latch falling down. The fire had just been lit. It is starting to ignite the douglas fir wood slowly but surely, and you can hear the kindling crackling.

It's winter and january in temperate rain forest country on vancouver island. The canvas awning is lowered above the hot tub and rain pounds away on the awning. You can hear each rain drop hit the canvas. Recorded with a zoom h1n.

My first upload to freesound is a thunderstorm recorded in gateshead, uk, next to our open bathroom window. Some lovely thunderclaps and rain. Recorded on a zoom h5. There are also some household sounds swimming around in the background, doors closing, dishes clinking etc; i think you can hear the radio or something very faintly towards the end -- but there's plenty of clean usable thunder and rain in there. Incidentally i often use this type of thing in my long-form instrumental music, produced under the name conelrad. Vintage 1976 cloth top vw bug. I searched the database for this sound with no luck. Luckily i had some friends that could help me out. 2 people (my friends terese and jb) opened and closed the cloth top while i sat in the passenger side recording. I used a zoom h6 with the the xyh-6 mic at 24 bit 48k.

Furniture door sound.

This is a field recording made with a zoom h1-n recorder. As we approached a nest in a tall douglas fir tree, a red-tailed hawk flew out, landed in a tree near us, and called out constantly. Perhaps these calls were trying to distract us from the nest, where we could see, with binoculars, two young heads in the wide nest. This is a recording of four of those calls.

I was waiting for a person at the conservatory of venice and i decided to step out on the terrace and trying a field recording. I was at the last floor of a tall building, you can hear people talking on the ground floor, music coming out from classrooms. Recorded with a zoom h1 without windshield, unfortunately there is some wind and handling noises.

We had just damp wood and it was a chilly evening. The wood is not burning yet, a lot of cracks, pops and sizzles can be heard. I can smell it, too. Recorded with a zoom h1 in a medium room, mic held at 30 cm ca. From the fireplace.

I was in the church of angoulème (f) when to my delight organ practise begun. Quality is not extremely good but the ambience is nicely catched imho. Anyone who knows the organ work, i'd like to know!.

It's winter on vancouver island. The heavy and frequent rains engorge the lakes & streams and they flow into the cowichan river. Engorged by seasonal precipitation this large heritage river churns into a narrow bedrock canyon, turns, and comes out of the turn charging. This is where the recording was made, at river level. Recorded in january with a zoom h1 n, audio quality 48,000 hz. Unedited.
